Volunteer

Every year, thousands of Wake County families turn to Diaper Train for support—and that wouldn’t be possible without our incredible volunteers.

Volunteers play an essential role in helping us fulfill our mission. Whether packaging and distributing diapers, restocking inventory, greeting families, or filling diaper orders, every volunteer helps ensure our programs run smoothly and families receive the support they need.

Volunteers Needed:

Tuesdays 8:45am–12:15pm
Wednesdays 2:45pm-5:45pm, 3:00–4:30pm (2 shifts available)
Thursdays 8:45am–12:15pm
2nd Saturday of every month 8:45am–12:15pm

What you need to know:

  • Volunteers must be at least 12 years old. Volunteers under 16 must be accompanied by a participating adult volunteer.
  • Each volunteer must register for their own time slot.
  • Please do not register multiple volunteers in a single time slot or bring additional volunteers who are not registered. If you have a group, email info@diapertrain.org to schedule a group volunteer event.
  • If you need verification of community service hours, please sign in when you arrive. If your school or organization requires online verification, email info@diapertrain.org within two weeks of your volunteer shift.

What you need to know:

  • Volunteers must be at least 12 years old and those under 18 must be accompanied by an adult volunteer
  • Time slots are for one volunteer each
  • Do not sign up multiple volunteers in one slot or bring additional people who are not signed up. Do not sign up as a team lead unless you have experience
  • Team lead slots are for experienced DT volunteers only
  • Those requiring verification of community service hours, sign in upon arrival. If you require online approval for your volunteer hours, email info@diapertrain.org within 2 weeks of the time you volunteer
